Brad & Glenna's Vacation 2009 - The Year of the Babies
And Away We Go
Day One
Off to a rip roaring start - A Trailer tire Blowout in Novato! 100 degrees outside, pavement burning &, a tire too hot to touch. But God was looking out for us because for 3 years we have not had a spare tire. Dad helped me to get one &, when we had a blow out we were right next to an exit and didn't even know until we saw the smoke. Nice RV Park in San Luis - hot but a swim in the pool cooled things down.
Day Two
At Dockweiler State Park - A State Park RV campground with a Los Angeles Flare - it's different. But we are right at the oceans edge which is cool - oops there goes another plane overhead leaving LAX. Going to see our Great Nephew in the morning
Day Three
Early morning run on the beach is cool except it isn't level. Need to go the both directions to even out the knees. Dolphins are migrating, lots of them 50 feet off shore. Just held Luke - wow it has been awhile. Aunt Glenna picked up on it right away.
Day Four
Short drive to Victorville - Yahoo I think I hear banjos. Quite a mix here, old victorville with lots of old shacks and trailers & the new modern Victorville - Star bucks & Home Depot. After 20 years + it is difficult to get our bearings. Visited George Air Force Base today - Glenna is sad. It is quite the ghost town. Some very large beautiful corporate/industrial buildings & good to see someone is using the flightline I think they do commercial plane restorations. Dispensary where Tarah was dispensed, I mean born, is there but very run down looking - not active of course. I will have images up soon on the web site.
Day Five

Day Six
Made it to Pahrump Nevada, Desert Oasis RV Park - at least I think it is day 6. I honestly have not been tracking the days. Summitted a very small peak starting at 5:30 am next to the Victorville RV Park before we took off. I have some pics. Going to the Casino tomorrow for fire works - the RV park has a shuttle all day. Fireworks are legal here - a couple of years ago the CA State Fire Marshal was doing a sting ont he road into CA stopping the illegal importing if illegal fireworks.
